Gypsy Queen

There's a banjo hangin on the wall,

it's got plenty of tales to tell,

and the mandolins they don't talk at all

You tell me you me you got fables too,

of a time when you weren't quite you,

a lost old shoe and something blue

Leave it all, leave it all

in the past crashing through the wind

you've found a home at last

So take a little breath and hold my hand,

let's break the silence in my bed,

end the thoughts that are running through your head

girl won't you let me into your heart,

stop pretending you're so hard,

you aint fooling no one with that scar

Cuz there's nobody around,

and it's just you and me,

my gypsy queen

Now the streets are golden with your hair,

the locks you laid down in a trail,

to follow back in case I lead you

down the road you've seen before

I know exactly where you've been,

lost in bottles of rum and gin,

fresh tobacco on your chin,

but your lips they look so innocent

and oh what a mighty fine day,

for what you never dared

So take a little breath and hold my hand,

let's break the silence in my bed,

end the thoughts that are running through your head

girl won't you let me into your heart,

stop pretending you're so hard,

you aint fooling no one with that scar

Cuz there's nobody around,

and it's just you and me,

my gypsy queen

Leave it all, leave it all in the past

crashing through the wind

you've found a home at last

So take a little breath and hold my hand,

let's break the silence in my bed,

end the thoughts that are running through your head

girl won't you let me into your heart,

stop pretending you're so hard,

you aint fooling no one with that scar

Cuz there's nobody around,

and it's just you and me,

my gypsy queen
